Hi I'm Cassandra Cunningham

I grew up in Utah. I love sports. I play the clarinet. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be active. I love hiking, camping, river rafting, and other outdoor activities. Soccer and racquetball are my two favorite sports to play. Whenever I'm not doing any of that I am usually reading a novel, mostly science fiction and fantasy novels. I love spending time with my family especially all of my nieces and nephews. Little kids are the best and so much fun to be around, because they teach me so much. I also love school and I love to learn, but I am taking a break from it at the moment to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because the church is something that brings so much joy and happiness into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was baptized when I was 8 years old, but I didn't come to believe in the Church until I was 14 years old. When I was 14 years old I was challenged to read the Book Of Mormon all the way through, which I had never done before. I finished reading it in about 2 months and decided to pray and ask in faith if the Book of Mormon was the word of God. An amazing feeling of peace came upon me and at that moment I started to believe in the Church. Since then I have had many more moments that I have come to know more fully the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his love for me. It has brought so much joy to my life and has been a comfort and a help to me in hard times. It is something I will be eternally grateful for.

How I live my faith

I have been attending a Young Singles Adult Ward for the past three years, and go to all of the church events and activities I can in my area. With that I have had many opportunities to serve in the Church. I would organize and help make a meal for college kids once a month for one school year. I also had the opportunity to teach other members of my ward about gospel doctrine. My favorite thing I did though was go out once a week and visit people and invite them to activities and to church and become friends with them. I also take as many opportunities to serve as I can. I have helped open a Community Clothing Closet, raised money for people who had nothing for their children at Christmas time and for people that needed wheel chairs in other countries that couldn't afford them. I am so grateful that I have been able to help others and participate in the church. I am now serving as a full time missionary in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission where I get to help others come closer to their Savior everyday and grow in my own faith while I do it.
