Hi I'm Logan

I grew up in Hemet, CA. I served a mission in Vitoria, Brazil. During that time, due to an accident I lost my left leg.

About Me

I am amputee, a college student, and soon to be husband of my high school sweetheart. I am the oldest of five kids. A brother and three sisters.I am bi-literate in english and portuguese. My interests include love for mountain biking, learning languages and speaking, pencil sketching, and soccer. My soccer team is Sao Paulo. I had a typical adolescense with many ups, and downs just as great.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has been members for not all that long. I did all the usual activities during my youth and was taught many different things. My father was my scoutmaster and my brother and I acheived the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts organization. I have served as a Deacon, Teacher and Priest in the church. I choose to serve a full time mission for my God and Savior, but those are just the blessings of why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because He asnwered the prayer I offered to know if all the teachings of the church and my parents had validity. He confirmed that they were true with an answer that I will charish.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a day to day basis. I remember the time I read and prayed about my faith and what I was taught as a child and the warm, soft, loving spirit that I felt during and after. I served a full time mission for the Lds church in a state called Espirito Santo that sits right above the state of Rio de Janeiro. I had almost complete my 24 months of service to Him when my companion hopped on to a moving freight car train and concerned for him I followed. I lost my balance slipping on the gravel and was pulled under the train losing my left leg. Since then I have grown to wonder of the success of this incident or what is it's purpose. I don't know. I hope to never know in this life because I believe that is our purpose, to endure with hope and faith. How do I live my Faith? With Gratitude and a resolve to see Him and ask that question.

What is the priesthood?

Logan
The priesthood is a power and authority given from God to man to act in His name here upon the earth. When Moses parted the Red Sea, that was done by the power of the priesthood. Before Christ performed many of his miracles He thanked God for hearing him and then performed those miracles by the power the His Father gave him. As mortal men we are charged to carry this gift and honor it and the sacredness that comes with it. It heals the sick, causes the blind to see, the lame to walk, and the mortal man to be cleansed from his transgressions and return to our Father through baptism. It is the authority to perform ordinances in His name, by His permission. Show more Show less
