Hi I'm Sheri

I'm a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Sheri! Just before I was born, my parents divorced so all throughout my pre-college days I would go to my dad's house every other weekend and spend the rest of my days with momma. Whenever someone hears about this they instantly feel sorry for me, but my parents decided very early on that they would get along and never speak poorly of each other for my sake. I've always known that they love me and truly have my best interest at heart. I graduated high school class of 2010 with just above the minimum GPA requirement, but made it into college! I only ever applied for BYU-I and they actually let me in. I am currently doing my student teaching in 2nd grade so as to acquire a degree in Elementary Education and someday, hopefully, have my own classroom. My nieces back home are my inspiration and I miss them so much every day. I was married on August 8, 2015 to one of the sweetest men I've ever met in my life. We live in Ogden in our first crummy little apartment and all is well. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love so much the way I feel when I am abiding by the principles that I have learned in my life thus far. I have found no other peace or comfort such as this. I don't even know how to explain it. My testimony is simple, but strong. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed with diligence of heart and found it to be true. I am a Mormon because I have studied and prayed the words of our prophets, including our prophet in these the latter days, President Thomas S. Monson, and found them to be good in my soul. I am a Mormon because I have studied the purpose of the temples and attended the temple and prayed about what I have learned there and felt such peace and assurance that it is good that I can not deny it's goodness and glory and importance. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, and I have found no other way to come unto him so greatly than by studying the Book of Mormon and the Bible and by attending my church meetings on Sundays and by using the atonement of Jesus Christ to repent of my sins and find comfort in him, knowing that he knows me so intimately that he knows every fear, joy, pain, triumph, defeat, and love that my heart has ever felt and will ever feel. I am a Mormon because I love it, and I cannot deny the divinity of my God and my Savior.

How I live my faith

I've learned in the last few years that I am so ridiculously imperfect. I live my faith by making consistent attempts to be better. I live my faith by loving others as much as I can and by allowing them to grow and utilize the atonement in their lives and not judging them as much as I can help it. I also live my faith by having consistent prayer and scripture study time everyday. Of course, I am imperfect, so it is not everyday that I am perfect at my prayer and scripture study, but I live my faith by trying to be perfect in those things. I live my faith by trying. Just trying. :)
