I grew up in Provo, Utah. I just finished my mission in San Diego, CA

About Me

I grew up in Provo, Ut. I have been in San Diego, CA for almost 2 years while serving my mission. I was called to the language of American Sign language (ASL). I love the ASL language and the culture even though it is kind of straight forward. I love being a missionary and serving the Lord full time. The gospel has influenced my life so much I want to go and teach it for the rest of my life and continue for all of that. I want to become a seminary teacher so that i can continue to see the understanding of the plan in which the Father has for all of us. I know with my whole heart that this gospel and church is true. I love to read almost anything that i can get my hands on. I am often found with either found with a book or with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Because with this is the only true church and I love how it says that anyone can live with God again but first they must be made clean through repentance. Also this Church helps the lives of all and the willing and it will continue to change my life until i say no, but that will never happen. It tells me to keep my head up while the world says that you cant do it.

How I live my faith

Now that is the tricky part I think. You have some of those in all religions that go to church and that is the time they think about Jesus Christ or God until the next service next week. Now that is a few i am hopping. The way that you live your religion is not just on Sunday or the day that you go to church, but through out the week and the rest of your life. As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we believe that we take upon our self the name of Christ at the time that we are baptized by proper authority. As such we are then expected to live as the Savior lives. Now that doesn't mean perfect but it does mean that you try your best to help all and to love as the Savior loved. We have been granted this life to grow and improve. Now is the time. Not tomorrow. Not next week, but now.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Kirk Palmer
We do not worship Joseph Smith. He was the one who helped bring this church back onto the eath again and we honor him for it now worship. Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Kirk Palmer
Not anymore. The LDS church came out with an official declaration saying that anyone can obtain the priesthood, but only if a man is worthy to take it upon himself. We let all come unto christ so we let all worthy man choose to do so if he can. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Kirk Palmer
In no way am i able to express my feelings of the atonement in word form, but i am willing to try my best. Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world, But not only the sins. But also the pains, temptations, and the sicknesses. He died that we might live for eternity. The atonement is the center and key stone to the Plan of Salvation. With out the atonement and the ability to become clean from our sins and mistakes we can live with the Father again. There is no greater feeling in the world than to pray and ask for forgivness from your sins. With out the death of Jesus Christ and accepting all these things. Then there would be no way on earth or in heaven that we would be able to be reunited with the Father and to live with him, and become as he is. Show more Show less
