Hi I'm Ron

I grew up in Utah, I love working on cars, I'm a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I am a student studying business. I love to play soccer but as a result I have had two ACL surgeries in the last 18 months. I have been married for two years to the love of my life who motivates me to be better in every aspect of my life. She knows who she is, where she came from and where she is going. I love her and look up to her. My hobby is cars, I love to buy, build and sometimes sell Jeep Cherokees. I love to be under the hood and being helpful to anyone in need. My wife and I like to run, bike and hike together, being outdoors is one of the things we love the most. We both grew up in active families of the LDS faith. I was baptized when I was 8 years old and when I was 19 served an LDS mission. I love to serve and give of my time. Life is precious and we love to live it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I see that this is the same organization that Jesus set up when he was on the earth. The Church is set up with a prophet and apostles, just like when Jesus was in Jerusalem. These prophets and apostles have priesthood and are lead and guided by our father in heaven himself. The doctrine taught is plain and simple. I believe it because there are no unanswered questions. I know who I am, I know where I came from, I know where I'm going. I know that when we die this "earth life" is not the end. My family will be together forever because the Lord lives and God wants us to come home. I am a Mormon because I am not afraid to do whats contrary to the way of the world, I am confident in who I am as a person. This is because I have the True Church of Jesus Christ and His teachings in my life.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon I have become very involved in my local congregation. On Sunday, even though sometimes super hot, or super cold, we love to walk to the church, we see friends and family and spend time caching up about our week. During the week I work some with the youth, helping them with personal goals they set and helping them become men of character. Other than that I just love to be at church hearing the Word of God taught.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Ron
According to the scriptures temples have always been a special and sacred place. Used for coming closer to God and growing in faith. Also there has always been symbolism regarding temples and as taught in Corinthians temples can be used for baptism of the dead. Mormons use temples for nothing different. Temples are a place where Mormons can go to come closer to God and learn of him through symbolism. Another thing we use temples for is bring families together. Here on earth we are baptized when we are ready and believe in God accepting Jesus and our Savior. At the temple we are allowed to preform this act of baptism for family members who have died and did not get baptized. by doing this we offer them the chance to receive baptism in the next life. Nothing "secret" or scary, just sacred. Show more Show less
