Hi I'm David

I am a retired locomotive engineer born and raised in Texas. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I found myself a widower before the turn of the century with two adult children one girl and an adopted boy. I married a seventh grade teacher that has three girls and a boy, all on their own now. We enjoy eight grandchildren. I worked as a railroader over thirty three years. I have been doing family history over 20 years and searching cemeteries to read inscriptions and tracing my ancestors lives,

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed my entire life and been on its receiving end.Serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helps me to help others and this is a Blessing too, I like where I am. I am in a good place. I feel the spirit guide me all the time. Read the Book of Mormon and your life can change too.

How I live my faith

I work with family history to assist others locate their ancestors. I work at the Temple to aide those that are in need and I enjoy visiting others with the missionaries and as a home teacher.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

David
A best way to feel the spirit is to read the scriptures yourself. Then do as they teach. Pray with real intent. Like all things it takes practice. No one said it would be easy, but it is worth it. I had a coach that wrote "what once was a workout is now just a warm up", Show more Show less
