Hi I'm Jon

Living far from home as I make my way through dental school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dental school student, a husband to a beautiful wife, and a father to two great little kids. I feel like there is never enough time in the day to get everything done, but I realize the importance of family and the plan the Heavenly Father has for each of us. I love to spend every extra moment I get with my family, because every other minute of the day I feel is devoted to school work. I am a handyman and listening to all types of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church and always felt like the church was true, but I never really knew for myself. You could say I was living off of the faith of my parents. I decided to serve a mission for the church and was sent to Brazil. While I was learning the Portuguese language there was one specific day that I pleaded witht the Lord to let me feel a burning feeling whether all of this that I was about to go preach to the people in Brazil was true. I felt the Holy Ghost very strong that day and from then on I have had little confirmations that I have been on the right path. Every time I read the scriptures or hear a talk at church I feel that same spirit. The church has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. It has been my beacon and light during so many struggles and difficulties. I could never deny what I felt that day in Brazil and what I have felt thereafter. I will always be a Mormon through and through, because I truly believe Heavenly Father hears and answers each of our prayers.

How I live my faith

In my ward here, I am a home teacher. Every month I get to go visit three wonderful families and see how they are doing both spiritually and physically. I feel it is a great responsibility to care for our neighbors and our community.
