Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a native of Utah, and moved to Ohio after school in 2001. I'm a speech-language pathologist and I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and four children (2 boys and 2 girls). We also have two dogs and a cat. I met my wife in Switzerland and we were married in 1996. I enjoy cycling, running, hiking and staying active. I'm a big sports fan and like to follow the world of politics. We enjoy exploring interesting places close to home as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've come to know through the witness of the Holy Ghost that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and his church are true. I've been blessed to have experienced the love of my Heavenly Father in applying the principles of repentance. I have felt the redeeming power that comes through asking for forgiveness of my sins and know that it is because of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ that my sins can be washed away. I have studied the Book of Mormon and have grown closer to Jesus Christ through living it's principles. I have asked for my own witness of the truthfulness of the first vision when Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visited a young man named Joseph Smith. My heart was touched by the Spirit and my life was changed. My faith continues to grow as I strive to live the gospel and follow the teachings of modern day prophets.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of our ward and have a chance to worship with some amazing people. It is great to see how close the youth groups are in this area and the leaders do an outstanding job relating to the young men and young women. My boys love going to scouts and my daughters have a great time with friends they have met at church. My wife gets to work with the children in the ward and it can be a challenge because of how many children there are. I've been impressed from the first day we moved into our home with how willing fellow church members have been to provide service to those in need. We moved in the week before Christmas and there were several members here to assist us in the move. I have always felt at home here and appreciate the warm welcome we received in moving in. I try to go out of my way to return the favor when I see new faces because of the way we were treated in the same situation.
