Hi I'm Brooke

I am a college student, a nurse and the only girl in a family of six. I am a Mormon.

About Me

This is my first year in college studying nursing. I recently became a Certified Nursing Assistant in my high school. One of my favorite things that I experienced during my clinical hours was walking into the hospital with a smile on my face and the patients faces would light up with a smile. When I am not helping others I love to sing and play piano. Music allows me to express my feelings and thoughts without actually saying anything. Some of my favorite things to do are hike, go to the beach, explore new things with my friends and just be myself. My family and I are really close and we love to spend time with each other whether its taking a drive to visit family or sitting on the couch and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is the center our church and He is the one that leads this church. Without His willingness to come down and be our example and our Savior we would not have the church today. He has allowed us the opportunity to repent and return to our Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for me personally and that He also died on the cross that I may have the chance to return to my Father one day. I know that Heavenly Father is a forgiving father and doesn't want to see us suffering. He wants us to return to Him but only when learn and grow on this earth. The Church has been created with His power and Joseph Smith did see God, the Father and Jesus Christ when he knelt in prayer. I am Mormon because I have read and pondered The Book of Mormon. I have asked for the knowledge of its truthfulness and it has been given to me multiple times. I know that my through Christ I am able to be truly happy and able to stand for who I am because He is always near especially when my trials come in my life. I know that through my trials bring me closer to my Brother and Savior. I know that He loves me and always will. He wants me to return to Heavenly Father and to stay on the right path. Being a Mormon is my life and it has shaped me into a beautiful young women that can face many things and endure it all when the Lord on my side.

How I live my faith

When I go through my day I have many pictures of our Savior, Jesus Christ, as I look at them it reminds me of the teaching that my parents and teachers have taught me for so many years. He was perfect in all that He did. He loved and cared for those that were shunned by others, He saw into the heart of man and not just on the outward appearance. I strive each day to become more perfected in who I am. I seek through The Book of Mormon the teachings of Christ and how I can improve. Through my day I make sure I serve those that may need help and show my love to everyone I may come in contact with. More ways I live my faith is through the activities for the youth and for the young single adults. I have been able to strengthen my faith and who I am. Going to church on Sunday's has allowed me to be taught new things about the Savior and our Father in Heaven. Refilling my cup with the spirit each week is how I live my life and how I am able to stand for truth and righteousness.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Brooke
Mormons do not just help other Mormons. It isn't who we are. We serve those in need. When natural disasters happen we are usually serving all around the world to those that need help. We have been taught "to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or no church at all." I try everyday to serve those that are complete strangers. Show more Show less
