Hi I'm Kimber

I am from Idaho Falls, Idaho. I'm a mom. I work with special needs children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two beautiful girls. They keep me very busy and are my greatest accomplishments. I am also an artist, I sketch, design jewelry, paint, make cards and sculpt. I am working on a degree for psychology. I also am a gym rat. I work out six days a week and lift weights. I enjoy being outside what ever it is wether its camping and rafting or boating and having a picnic.I also volenteer at the local domestic volence shelter. Needless to say I am a very busy young woman.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and always thought I had a strong testimony. My family taught me well. and provided good examples for me. Yet at eighteen the ways of the world around me started to seem appealing. I got married very young to a member who wasnt the most active and made excuse after excuse not to go to church. Soon after our first year of marriage we grew apart. A few ears later I began to pick up bad habits from friends and shortly after our fourth year of marriage we divorced. At that point I lost control of myself and spirled down down down. After five years and two children later, I was invited back to church in a singles ward to bless by youngest daughter. When I walked in I found an old high school friend. She embraced me with such love. During Sacrament meeting my grandmothe who had come invited me to bare my testimony. Because I loved her and I knew it would make her happy, I did. And the words that poured out were all true, I still believed. After that I continued to go back to that ward. And with the help of the bishop and great fiends, I turned my life around. I quit all my bad habits and became active again. I haven't missed a Sunday since. The Gospel changes lives. I know that it is true. My testimont has never been so strong. When I am struggling the Lord is there to pick me up. My life isn't perfect but I know no matter what trial is ahead of me I can face it now. The Book of Mormon is true. I read it everyday. Joseph Smith was a great prophet and he inspires me to stand alone. Why I am a Mormon is because it brings me joy. It gives me knowledge and power. And I know I will be with my family forever. It is true.

How I live my faith

I believe in living the gospel and showing it in everything you do. Not just being active in the church but being active in living every day the way out Father in Heaven wants us to. I am a visiting teaching supervisor in my ward. I just moved into the ward I am in now and I am enjoying getting to know all the women in the ward. Being a younger and single woman I do my best to spend what time I have visiting the sisters and probably learning more from them than they do to me. I love service. I moved to help take care of my grandparents by cooking and cleaning for them twice a week. My grandfather has served three missions and he has inspired me to be a missionary in my life. I am the only LDS woman that works at the domestic violence shelter and I do my best to be a good example and when women come in I try to let the light of Christ shine through me so the women who are hurting know their Heavenly Father has not forgotten them. I attend the temple frequently and believe in the work that is being done there.
