Hi I'm David Bennion

I was born in Arizona but have lived in Utah for over 20 years. I'm a Law Enforcement Officer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my awesome wife for 23+ years and we have 4 sons. They are the best thing to ever happen to us. I have been a Law Enforcement Officer for many years. My job has blessed me immensely -- allowing me to handle serious problems and assist people during their most difficult times. I lived in several different places when I was growing up, such as Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, California, Kansas, and finally...Utah. Perhaps this is why I love to travel and see new places, eat new food, and meet new people. I also enjoy watching movies very much and being able to "escape" to different places for a few hours. I also love to read books.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, however, I have had to go through my own conversion like everybody else. By acting in faith, being obedient to precepts I know to be true, and serving others...I feel the light of Christ in my life! I believe with all my heart that the original, Christian church (organized by Christ in the old world) has been restored to the earth in its entirety. I believe that we have living prophets on the earth again, that we can each receive personal guidance and revelation through the Holy Spirit, and be reunited with our loved ones again as eternal families. I also know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and that each of us can grow closer to our Heavenly Father by living its teachings. Being a part of this church brings me peace and allows me to be my best self!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is an "every day" choice and I try to set a good example for my family and others I serve. Currently, I am serving as a Stake President (Regional Leader) and get to be involved with all aspects of the church and its members in our area. Even though I can be very shy, my calling has helped me to "come out of my shell" more than I probably would have by trying different things and meeting new people. The Mormon Church has helped me realize my divine worth, potential, and destiny. Being part of an eternal family that loves, laughs, and struggles through this life is a great blessing!
