Hi I'm Lindsey

I grew up in Idaho. I love books. I love art. I love music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Books are probably my favorite thing in the world. I'm very particular about my pens and pencils, and dictionaries are my best friends. I'm working on a B.A. in English at Brigham Young University-Idaho with a minor in Psychology. I also love playing the piano, writing, and drawing. I am the second of 6 children in my family. I spent alot of time working along side them on my dad's farm over the last several years. Every time we would start to complain about the hard work, he would tell us we were building character. I love traveling and visiting big cities and other states, but at the end of the week, I'm always ready to go back home to Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

This church is the greatest thing in my life. While people often give me a difficult time for living higher standards, these standards have made me who I am. My life isn't perfect by any means, but I've been able to stay away from the devestating effects of addictions and bad decisions. I am a Mormon because I am truly happy being a Mormon. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who loves me. I know that He is happy with me as I do the things He has asked me to do in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Most of all, I'm a Mormon because I have hope and peace in my life. I know that there are going to be many difficult things that happen in my life, but I also know that because of Jesus Christ, I don't have to go through those difficult things alone. And I know that He has the power to heal my heart and bring peace to my soul no matter how tough life gets.

How I live my faith

I try to live the way Heavenly Father has asked me. Currently, I am in Houston, TX serving as a full-time missionary. I spend every day talking to people and teaching them about the gospel of Christ. I grew up going to the weekly youth activities and participating in the week long girls camp for teenagers. I helped to organize activies which often included service projects for families with difficult circumstances and elderly people who needed help. It's something we start doing when we're young and it never leaves us.
