Hi I'm Liz

I'm a wife, student, and cupcake connoisseur. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Maryland and now a college student in the west. An east coaster in the wild west. I'm majoring in History and love learning about ancient cities, philosophies and people. I met my husband during college and he is currently in law school. We love each other and the knowledge we have from the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

Mormons believe in modern day revelation. We believe that God has a prophet on the earth today. Our church is set up like it was in Biblical times. We believe that God can communicate with us and answer our prayers. We believe in praying to our Heavenly Father and just telling Him about our day, and thanking him for all that we have. We ask Him questions and we get answers. God has a huge role in our lives. I'm Mormon because, to me, it makes sense. No one is forced to be Mormon. You choose for yourself, YOU pray and ask God if its true and He will give YOU the answer. The Mormon religion is aware of individuals and groups alike. We have whole organizations within the church dedicated to helping the poor, and I don't mean by just giving them food every now and then, I mean by having classes they can attend about money management, and how to interview well, and ultimately how to get a job so they can be self-reliant. I love being in a Church that knows whats up. I know that it has the COMPLETE gospel of Jesus Christ. This church has made me the person I am today. I love its teachings and I know them to be true because I prayed and received an answer from my Father in heaven.

How I live my faith

My faith is a huge part of who I am. I know I would be so lost without my beliefs. I live my religion every day. Mormon standards are very high as they are what we believe to be God's Law. Mormons are always looking for a way to help those in need. I strive to be a better person and to serve. Growing up, the youth in my church and I would frequent the local soup kitchen and food banks and volunteer. We believe God's Law to be a higher law. I don't drink or smoke or speak in profanities. I try to be like Jesus and be kind to everyone I meet. The Mormon church has so many great teachings about every day life, about how to be self-reliant, how to gain understanding, and how we can be better.
