Hi I'm Tracey

I grew up in the Midwest. I'm a triathlete, mother of four, labor and delivery nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I turned 40 this year, and am grateful for every part of my life. I love sunny days to play with my children and tinker in the garden. I try to love running, haha! I'm mostly just trying. Away from home, I am a Labor and Delivery nurse and have the blessing of getting paid to do my hobby, helping others welcome their babies into this beautiful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a household that followed Christian principles, but no particular doctrine or religious affiliation. As a teenager, I was actively seeking to understand the many injustices of this world. I wanted to know . " Where were my loved ones who had passed away? Was there a Heaven, and who gets to go there? If money isn't the answer to happiness and peace, then what is? Why do some people's lives seem so easy, and some so terribly troubled? What role does Jesus Christ play in MY life and happiness? From experiences through going to various church's with friends, I felt that going to church might answer many of the questions I had-but WHICH church? Several months passed before missionaries first came to my family's door. For weeks, when they talked with my parents, I refused to listen to any part of their message. One day, something changed in my heart and I decided that I should give them a chance. As I listened to the message they shared about Jesus Christ and the plan of Salvation as revealed in the Bible and clarified by the Book of Mormon, I felt like I was hearing something that I had already known, but somehow forgotten. I felt the quiet comfort of the Holy Ghost witness to me that the message they shared was true. I found the answers to all those questions, and more importantly, understood, for the first time what it meant to be a Child of God, and the great plans He has for me, and all His children. I learned to pray, and recognize the Spirit's witness. I learned how to understand God's will for me in this life, and how the Savior made all my life's blessings possible. I learned where to find joy and lasting peace in this life, despite its many challenges. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith first by being grateful for all that Heavenly Father has given us. Through gratitude, I draw strength in my faith, and have come to appreciate how my Father in Heaven knows me personally and meets my individual needs. I further strengthen my own and my family's faith through personal scripture study and family gospel study. As we try to live in the pattern of the Savior's love for all mankind, we focus on how we can help other people. I teach my children that as we go about our daily lives, we should interact with others so that "we leave them better than we found them." For many years, I served in the Children's Sunday School organization. I was always deeply touched by the simple yet profound faith of children. I currently serve to help our church's missionary efforts.
