Hi I'm Kanaan Marcelino

I grew up in the Church i was dis-fellowship and i cant wait to be back in the church.

About Me

I grew up in the LDS church and thought I was a decent follower of the faith. However, around the age of eighteen as I was preparing for a mission, however instead of a mission, I served a year long prison sentence with three years of parole to do. Today (July 17 2012) I am 22 and have 5 months until my parole is over.  After I was released I fell further from the church and it took me almost one full year until an old friend and my new best friend reached out to me and I returned to church. I now serve a small institute calling as a mass texter to announce activities going on in our  young single adult ward here in Visalia, California. I can not wait to be reinstated into the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have seen how powerful the Church standards can change ones life. I studied and have personally explored and honestly investigated other churches. I can say that many of these churches were wonderful and even during my time after prison, I thought of joining a few. So what makes me stick to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? The fact that I have read the Book of Mormon, I have listened to the prophets talk, I have studied the Church, and I, without a doubt, believe in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know it is true! I love this church. I urge anyone who is reading this, Mormon or an investigator, to pray about this church and ask if it is true for yourselves, take a look at the Book of Mormon, flip through those pages and let it tell you of its own truth. Come to one of our church building and sit in a class or listen to one of members give a talk on a topic of there choice. Open your heart and mind and really ask Heavenly Father about our church.

How I live my faith

Like I said for eighteen years I had thought I was on a great path. After my time in prison, I really reached out and found where I lacked and why I was so far from where I thought I was. I realigned my life and really held to our church standards. Yes at times I fall or trip up but I always continue to strive to hold to our standards.
