Hi I'm Jordan

I am a daughter, a friend and a student. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I didn't grow up with the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I am a convert, I was baptised April 30, 2011. I grew up all over, and although I have an amazing family, my past wasn't easy. I was a very lost person before I found the gospel. I was raised to be a very outdoorsey person. I was raised to ride horses, dirt bikes, snow mobiles, ATVs and quads. I like to go skiing and snowboarding (allthough I am pretty untalented at both). I love kayaking with friends and driving my mom's truck through the country with the windows down and music blasting. My passion is my music which brought me to the Church in the first place. I made friends through choir and musical theatre in highschool who were Mormons and I loved what amazing examples they were to me. Eventually I too wanted to have what they had which made them so happy, turns out it was the gospel of Jesus Christ, and now that I have it I know why they were always so happy all the time. I am perfectly imperfect.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness. I always ask myself, "When have I been the happiest in my life?" and the answer is always the same. I am the most happy when I am reading my scriptures diligently, praying earnestly and working to be the best daughter of God that I can be. Ever since I converted I have been able to deal with many trials, they are never easy, but with the gospel in my life, even the most difficult times are able to be overcome, we just have to ask earnestly for help, and allow heavenly father to help us. Its never foolish to pray and show how vulnerable we truely are, because with humility comes power that is given to us from heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by staying involved with the church. I work to keep my spirits high, and Heavenly Father helps to ease my burdens every day. I strive to be an example to my friends and family, but my family and friends are really the examples that I strive to follow, they are amazing and beautiful people. I am serving a mission in Reno Nevada and I am working to spread the Lord's gospel to everyone that will listen to me. I want people everywhere to know that they are always loved and being looked after, even when it doesn't feel like it. The Lord means so much to me and He has brought so much peace into my life and I have been so blessed that I now want to give 18 months of my life to progressing His work. He is my strength.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jordan
Being a Mormon is an amazing experience. Every day I am surrounded by so many people who are so in tuned with the Spirit and who work every day to be the best people they can be. Having the gift of the Holy Ghost in my life changes me in the best ways daily, I find myself more aware of my surroundings and what I can do to stay spiritually clean. It is a great responsibility to be a Mormon, but more so, it is a great blessing. I am so happy and I know its because the Lord is ever present in my life. Show more Show less
