Hi I'm Anna

I am a wife, a mother, a nurturer, a sister, a friend, an artist, a dancer, an aspirant photojournalist and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a FULL TIME mother and homemaker. I have 4 children ranging in ages from 11 to 2 years old. I am busy photo-documenting our lives together as we all learn and grow together. I LOVE my iPhone - which serves as my own personal assistant as I manage to run this loud and chaotic - yet successful family. I love to read and enjoy educating myself with the blessings that this easy-access to information technological age brings! I appreciate the opportunities that I have been afforded in my life, to have been born in the United States, to have been able to attend a University, to enter there to learn and go forth to serve others - to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. I am a dancer and artist - I am inspired by all kinds of music and tend to envision dance performances in my head. I love to encourage others to dance and appreciate music and movement. I love encouraging children to explore and find their gifts and talents. I am grateful that through my participation in the world of dance, I have been able to give of myself and interact with other cultures - in Japan, South Korea and The Philippines. I strive to enjoy each phase in my life, how life constantly changes and throws challenges at us. I am grateful to be married to a man who loves me and is committed to building a life together. Life is hard - but with love from family, prayer and hope, I know that I can triumph over anything. I know that God loves me and knows me - He is my strength.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I am a daughter of God - that He is my Heavenly Father and that He knows and loves me. I know that He hears and answers prayers and that faith in Him gives me strength to live each day to it's fullest. I know that I am loved and looked after, that He knows my every need. It is this knowledge that helps me get through those days that are dark and hard. I was born to parents who were converts to this religion, they found joy and peace in this gospel and raised me as a Mormon my whole life. I was raised with the beliefs and traditions of the LDS culture - I was baptized at age 8, and felt the spirit (The Holy Ghost) witness to me by a warm feeling penetrating my entire body that I was doing the right thing by becoming a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I continued on through my youth building upon that feeling and continuing to learn of the gospel of Jesus Christ always knowing of my great worth and value as a child of God. This deep knowledge of who I am gave me the strength to face the challenges that came later in life. I know that life brings great challenges and bad things happen to us all. I was blessed to give birth to 3 children - then, a full-term stillborn girl. Burying a child is heartbreaking. But I know she is a part of our family forever and that we will get to be all together again after this life is through. Then, we were blessed with another child - and our family continues on and we learn and grow together. Sad and bad things happen to us all. It is these challenges and heartbreaks that lead us to seek out the peace and comfort that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ bring to us. It is through these rough parts in the journey that we are prepared for greater things. We have such great potential and the way we become great is by loving and serving God, by loving and serving those around us.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my church community. I love visiting with several older women who have become such great friends to me. We bring joy into each other's lives when we visit one another. I have the opportunity to organize efforts to bring comfort and help into the lives of those within the congregation who have suffered a loss, need help obtaining transportation, have just had a baby or could use a meal or a friend to talk to while they are struggling with life. I have had the opportunity to organize musical dance theater productions for the youth and love watching them have fun and grow together! I have been able to teach children and youth in Sunday School and even care for the toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years old. I strive to share with them all my love of Jesus Christ and that I know He is the Savior of the world.
