Hi I'm Pam

I'm married to my best friend, we have 5 awesome kids, love to run, read, travel and be with friends, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I live in Minnesota with my husband of 26 years and 3 of our 5 children. Our oldest child lives in Washington state and we have one of our sons serving a two year mission for our church in Singapore. I love to be with friends and family playing games, traveling and just being together. I love to run, work out, read, craft and throw parties for family and friends. I've ran many 5 and 10 K's and 1/2 marathons and love to prepare for a race! I love to craft and try new recipes, expecially when I have a group of friends over. I love to be on Pinterest and look for fun ideas and see all the creativity that is in the world! I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life and know that the testimony that has grown throughout my life of the Savior, our Heavenly Father and his plan of happiness for each of us helps me to have understanding and peace and joy in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. As I have grown and developed my own knowledge and understanding of gospel principles, my testimony of these truths has become a firm foundation. We exercise faith in principles we do not fully understand, and as we grow, study, have experiences, and pray about them, Heavenly Father blesses us with understanding. That is when our faith turns to testimony, when we know something to be true by experience and not just relying on others. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings joy and peace to me and to my family. Because I have made sacred covenants (promises) with my Heavenly Father, I can look at the world more through His eyes and not be so anxious about the turmoil that goes on around us. I know that I lived with our heavenly parents and family before this life, and that if I keep the promises that I have made with our Heavenly Father, that I can live with my family and Him again in the life to come. I know that my Savior and Redeemer lives! That He and our Father in Heaven love each of us so much more than I can ever comprehend, and that he wants all of His children to return and live with Him again. That is what we are here on earth to do. To find out what our Fathers plan is, to follow it, and endure to the end. I hope that I am living my life in the way that I am an example of our Saviors love.

How I live my faith

I am very blessed that each morning during our school year I am able to be with the youth of our ward (church unit) ages 14-18 and teach from the scriptures in our Seminary program. We meet each morning at 6:00 am and each year study from a different book of scriptures. This year will be the New Testament, and I am looking forward to learning more of the life and ministry of our Savior and to strengthen my testimony of Him. I try to devote a quiet part of my morning each day to reading and studying in my scriptures. I notice that when I get caught up in the busyness of the day without starting in the scriptures, my day just doesn't go as smoothly. It is a blessing to have the word of God to be written down by his prophets and made available to all of us. When I am reading and studying with thr right spirit and desire to learn, then Heavenly Father blesses me with knowledge that helps to strengthen my faith and to strenghthen me spiritually to be able to endure any trial or answer any question that I may be faced with. I am also blessed to be a visiting teacher and visit with other women in our church each month. We are able to develop friendships, assist each other in building and strengthening our families, and give service to each other, our families and our communities. Our family is blessed to have a son serving a mission for our church. It is so wonderful to know that he is doing the things right now in his life that Heavenly Father wants him to be doing. He is sharing the message of the Savior to people on the other side of the world, and I have that same instruction and opportunity to share that message in my circle of influence with friends, neighbors and loved ones.
