Hi I'm Benjamin

I'm a violinist, a video gamer, and a certified nurse assistant, and im a mormon

About Me

I live in Hawaii and absolutley love it! my family means everything to me. I have 3 brothers one that is 10 years older then me and one that is 10 months younger (born in the same year they call us irish twins!) and a little brother who is 5 years younger. i was born in canada, alberta, edmonton, I now currently live in hawaii. i really enjoy boogie boarding and playing video games. one of my favorite things to do though is to spend a nice day at the beach with my family and lay in a hammock and listen to the waves hit along the shore.

Why I am a Mormon

I didnt have a real strong belief in god or jesus christ growing up. Then one day i joined a bible study group with a friend when i was 18 years old, they taught about jesus christ and went into alot of detail on the sufferring he went through for me. i dont think anything hit me harder then hearing that. as they were driving me home i sat in the back of the pickup truck and remembered looking up into the sky thinking to myself, "jesus christ did he really die for me?" i ponder upon it and that is when somthing ive never felt before hit me. then a thought came into my mind "yes he did die for me, that is when i felt a chill down my spine and some how knew that jesus christ was my personal savior and had died for me, not only did i know that but i knew that god my eternal father knew me and loved me. i arrived home and told my parents what i some how knew. that is when me and my parents started looking around different churches to find the one that would give me that same feeling and that would be right for me. eventually our last stop was with the church of jesus christ of latterday saints. the first meeting i attended was a fast and testimony meeting. I felt somthing different and we invited the missionaries over to teach me and my two brother. they taught us about joseph smith and how god has called a prohpet today and that the book of mormon was the proof of such evidence. and through prayer and the holyghost i would recieve an answer that it was all true. i did exactly that and recieved my answer that the book of mormon is true and that i needed to go on a mission to share this truth with others. i was baptized the same day as my brothers and now have a brother who is also serving a full time mission in california, and my family is now apart of the church. the gospel has blessed my whole family more then i can rightly express.

How I live my faith

right now im serving a full time mission in the maryland baltimore area, its been truly one of the best decisions ive done in my life. before serving a mission i served a calling as a ward missionary. its really somthing else to share the gospel with some one and see there lives change for the better.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Benjamin
the way i felt that the church of jesus christ of latter day saints to be true was through reading the book of mormon and praying to my heavenly father and asking a very specific question "is this church his church". as i did that i felt the holyghost bear whitness to me that this was the true church. it came to me as a still small voice throught the fealings that i recieved. What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Benjamin
the missionaries share a message of hope and joy. they share a message about jesus christ and what he did for us through the atonment making it possible to return to dwell in our heavenly fathers presence. they also help to stregthen your faith in jesus christ and our father in heaven. the message they share is about christs church and how it has been brought back after centuries of being lost through a living day prophet.
