Hi I'm Jane Crofts

I'm a BYU student, a sister of four siblings, a runner, and now a missionary in Taipei, Taiwan.

About Me

I love cooking food from all over the world and having friends over for dinner. I enjoy going on long runs with no ipod. My family members are my best friends. I love having long talks with my Dad in his truck, doing yoga with my mom, going to my brother's basketball games, or playing Legos with the littlest one, and painting with my sister. I go to Brigham Young University, studying international relations. But for now, I am serving as a full time missionary in Taipei, Taiwan, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in change. I know God gives me the chance every day to overcome my weaknesses. This opportunity is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ already paid the price for my mistakes, I can rely on him when I don't feel strong enough. Change is hard. It takes time, and work, and tears. But perfection isn't for this life. The point of this life is learning, and striving to become as our Savior. I know that when we do our best, our best truly is enough, because He will and already has made it up. I am a member of His church because I need Him. I need someone to rely on, someone who understands. Because He has been where I have been and felt what I feel, and this is the power of His Atonement, which gives me the strength I need to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I try my best to emulate Christ's example. I believe that we show our dedication to our Savior when we serve and love others. Sometimes it's difficult to develop charity and patience with our family members, our friends, our coworkers, or those who may be different from us, but we can overcome these weaknesses through the Atonement. When Christ was on the Earth, he reached out to the one. He expressed that the worth of souls is great in the sight of God, so great that He is willing to go and find the one out of the ninety and nine. As Christ did, I believe we also should seek out the one. If I can just touch one person while in Taiwan, I will have fulfilled my purpose as a missionary. I know that every person is a child of God, and He cares deeply for their happiness.
