Hi I'm William

Grew up in tiny Malad, Idaho. Going to school for Computer Engineering and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty big computer nerd. I love building and messing with all sorts of computers, whether it be desktops, laptops, servers, etc. I'm also a big music fan. My main instrument is the drums, but I also love to play the guitar, bass, and piano. I love all sorts of musical genres, ranging from Hard Rock/Metal to K-Pop. My favorite artists include Chevelle, Muse, Blink-182, Maroon 5, Super Junior, just to name a few. Currently, I am attending college to become a computer engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

While I am big into education and science, it has never made much sense to me as to why religion is often blasted for its structure and so called "interference" in modern day advancements. I cannot imagine living a life that believed that our lives here on Earth are our beginning and end, and that nothing else comes of it. I chose this church because it feels the most true and the one that makes my life the happiest. I love the feeling of knowing that this world isn't where my conscience ends. I believe that wanting there to be something after this life is a far better option than just accepting that there isn't one. And even if I were wrong, which is unlikely, it's not like the others would be able to brag, since according to them there is nothing after this anyways. But even that scenario isn't the true reason I believe. I believe because I have read the Book of Mormon and cannot fathom how some people call it a fallacious and untrue document. There are so many passages in that book that convince that it is true, and that nothing anyone says about it can disprove it. I love being a Mormon, and the Book of Mormon has verified to me that I have made the right choice. This is my testimony.

How I live my faith

I try to help others in need when I can. I love to volunteer for odd service jobs in the church, especially when it comes to technology. I am often the first person my ward comes to when they need some sort of tech support or general tech advice. Besides being the resident nerd, I have been a visiting teacher to a myriad of people, both from my ward at home as well as my ward in college. I love getting to talk to people and catch up on each other's lives. I always strive to leave people happier than they were before I talked to them. I love the feeling of getting to make someone's life just a little bit happier by just being there for them.
