Hi I'm Bryant Laurs Christenson

I've lived in 6 states. I attend BYU. I love sports and music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a freshman at BYU-Provo. My plan is to major in either Business Management or Business Marketing, go on to dental school, and eventually own my own practice. I was born in Utah, but have also lived in California, Minnesota, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and Texas. I have 5 siblings (3 sisters and 2 brothers). I play piano and saxophone. I have had a range of pets including hermit crabs, fish, snakes, and a bird. I have played lacrosse, baseball, volleyball, football, and have run track on teams. I also thoroughly enjoy reading, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and creating little inventions. Outside of the United States I have traveled to Canada, Mexico, Peru, and Fiji. I speak Spanish well enough that I can get by for the most part, but am hoping to continue learning more.

Why I am a Mormon

Family. Family is the single most important thing in my life. And the message this church gives of being part of an ETERNAL family just brings me the utter most amount of joy. I don't want to just be with them on earth until death. I want to be able to be with them forever in the presence of God in the Celestial Kingdom. My mother miscarried my youngest brother when I was in 6th grade, and as sad as this event was, I have been able to find happiness in knowing that He is saved through the Atonement of Christ and that I can live with Him again after this life is over. I have also dealt with countless amount of people that have struggled with feeling lonely, helpless, that they have no purpose in life. I want to be able to teach each and every person on this earth about the everlasting and unconditional love of our Savior Jesus Christ. That through Him, they can find hope, joy, peace, and friendship. He is ALWAYS there to listen and help in times of struggle and in times of joy. The peace in knowing that there is someone who knows exactly* everything I have gone through and everything I will go through has meant to me is insurmountable. The gospel really does bring eternal happiness to all if you put your heart and mind in the right places. There is so much good and service that this church does whether through monetary, labor, or item donations, or even through countless prayers and fasting, and not many other churches do that. This church isn't just about helping members, it's about helping everyone*.

How I live my faith

I willingly go to church every Sunday, I have held callings such as Assistant Ward Family History Consultant and Ward Organist, I love fulfilling my duty to home teach every month, and I regularly attended mutual as a teenager, and attend ward activities now in college. Participating in Family Home Evening every week has also been an integral part of my life ever since I was born. I love providing service to others in my community and sharing the gospel when possible. Going on splits and teaching with the missionaries has always been fun. I try to go to the temple as much as possible and do baptisms for the dead (especially for family names if possible).
