Hi I'm Janelle

I'm from Utah. I'm a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I'm currently working toward my bachelors in business administration. I enjoy reading and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the church, I don't have a huge conversion story. I've never had reason to doubt the church, so I never have. I have prayed to know the church is true (as Moroni suggests to do when one has completed reading the Book of Mormon) and I received confirmation that what I'd read was true and what I'd been taught my whole life was in accordance with the way I should be living my life. I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true, and I know God knows I know. The prophet Joseph Smith said, "I had seen a vision; I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it, neither dared I do it; at least I knew that by so doing I would offend God, and come under condemnation." Just as Joseph Smith couldn't deny having seen a vision, nor can I deny my testimony. I've never had a vision, but I have seen miracles, even if I haven't always recognized them at the time. God is real. He knows each of us and knows our needs. If we listen to the counsels of the prophets (currently living, and those of old), and do the little things (pray, read the scriptures, attend church meetings), life is so much better, because we no longer have to take on the world alone; we have the God of the universe helping us.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church meetings. I've sung in ward (large congregation that meets each week) and stake (comprised of 5-12 wards) choirs.
