Hi I'm Richard

I grew up in Northern California and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of five, and a grandfather of 19. I love spending time with my family. I am a retired high school teacher and coach. I taught physical education and coached Wrestling and golf. I have also had the opportunity to teach the youth of church through the seminary program and the young men’s organization. I have spent most of my life as a wrestling coach. When I am not with my family or on the mat I am either on my bike, fishing, or have a golf club in my hand.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in a Mormon household I have had many experiences that have strengthened my faith throughout my life. As I served as a missionary in Pennsylvania I gained a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon has been a big part of that conversion and learning about prophets here on the earth in our day.

How I live my faith

I have always tried to live my faith by being an example while serving others. I have enjoyed serving in my home ward as a bishop and young men’s leader. While teaching high school there we many opportunities to teach by example and to try and be a good role model to those I coached. I have always tried to be a good man. This desire started when I was a young man and had an opportunity to serve the Lord as a full time missionary in Pennsylvania.
