Hi I'm Jaime

I learned about the Church at 14 in Washington. I love to dance in a variety of styles and I love to teach children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I didn't grow up as a Mormon. My good friend invited me to church with him when we were fourteen. I really loved how loving his family was to each other. Currently I attend school at Brigham Young University. I'm pursuing a BA in Dance Education. I've grown up dancing ballet, contemporary, tap, and lots of other styles. I love dancing here at BYU! It's been cool to try new styles, like American clog dance. I have six nieces and nephews. They're just the best. I always have room for dessert.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up with an understanding of the gospel. I'd done okay without the light of the gospel for my first fourteen years, but I'm so glad it came to me when it did. I did not know families could be so happy, and could love each other so much! I wanted this. Heavenly Father loves me, and loves you as well. This love He has for us is incredible and incomprehensible. In the middle of my own family disasters, I could always turn to Heavenly Father for strength through the atonement of Christ. To believe in Christ is to have hope in a better tomorrow and to know that He empowers us to see it through.

How I live my faith

I really like to help others feel valued. Whenever I see people, I try to put myself in their shoes. My leaders at church chose me to be the Compassionate Service Leader for the women of my ward. This means I'm the shoulder to cry on and that I will try to meet the needs of the other young women in my ward. I truly love leaving cards or candy so people know they're thought of, and reminding them that the Savior is there for them. I have learned to love people only through Jesus Christ. Seeing others the way Christ would see them, with infinite love, is the truest way to see. This is why I want to serve a mission. I know what it feels like to be abandoned. I want everyone to feel the love of the Savior and be rescued by Him.
