Hi I'm Kayson Reardon

I'm from St. George, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent high school graduate serving a mission for two years in the field of Little Rock, Arkansas. I enjoy video games, playing instruments, (namely the piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and guitar) reading, writing, debate, playing tennis, and most of all spending time with my family and friends. I plan to attend college and pursue a degree in science. My future goals include starting a family, publishing a book, and going into a career that involves psychology, physics, or journalism.

Why I am a Mormon

I myself am a convert to the LDS church. I took the missionary lessons about the age of 9. My friend from school invited me and my family to church, and before long I was taking the missionary lessons with my mom. I loved everything that the missionaries taught us, and it was exciting to learn about what they were teaching. I didn't know everything, and I most certainly had questions, but it always felt right. As I actively searched through the scriptures, and asked others, I began to have a testimony of my own and was baptized into the church. It has been wonderful; and in the past few years, I have been able to completely read the Book of Mormon and pray to ask God if it was true. I received a resounding yes, and, even though my family has had our fair share of trials and problems, Christ, His divine love, and the comfort and peace that comes from His Atonement has helped me learn, grow, and appreciate my Savior even more. I know that God loves us and that we are His children. Christ is our brother, our Savior, and our friend. He will always be there for us, and when we turn to Him, He can understand and comfort us in a way that no one else can. I love Him, and I know of the reality of His Infinite Sacrifice, which I am grateful for every day of my life. He is our Light, He is our Exemplar, and He is our Friend. He is the way back to our Heavenly Home. Of these things I testify in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am a member of a fantastic ward (our local community congregation) that has helped me in many ways to serve my mission. That is the biggest responsibility I have as of right now. I mission might sound complicated, but, in reality, a mission is just two years of serving people and teaching them about Jesus Christ, His love for all of us, and what our purpose in life is. It is a wonderful opportunity to share with others the peace, love, and knowledge that I have acquired over the years of being a member in the church, and something that I am very excited about.
