Hi I'm Lilly

I grew up in Utah. I'm preparing to serve a mission in Brimingham, England. I love the gospel.

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I am currently preparing to embark on an 18-month journey of serving the Lord. I grew up in Brigham City, Utah and moved to Clinton City, Utah when I was 9. I am currently working as a CNA at McKay Dee Hospital. I plan on pursing a nursing degree when I return home in May of 2019. I am the oldest of five kids. For the last 10 years I have been the only active member in my family, and only three out of seven family members are members of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I, in a sense, was born into the church. However, when my parents divorced, I was in and out a lot. As I got older, and trials got harder, I began to rely on the only true stable and consistent thing I had in my life... The church. Most certainly it did not make my trials go away, but I was able to feel God's love as I went through them. By the time I got to my senior year of high school I decided I no longer wanted to go to church. I started going through very hard times and I wasn't sure of where to turn. A friend of mine who was on a mission in California one day wrote me a letter. I hadn't spoke to him since he had left and he had been out for nearly a year. This letter he wrote was 4 pages long and it was all of my struggles and trials I had been facing. I began to pray to know if this was the true church and if I should be apart of it. After long, hard prayers I was assured of the truth of this gospel and the happiness and comfort it brings. It has been a year since I received that letter and I am two months out from leaving to serve a full-time mission in England. I cannot wait to share the happy message of this gospel with those people. I know this church is the true church and I know The Book of Mormon is true. I have experienced it and I love it with my whole heart.

How I live my faith

I have a calling I currently serve in as a ward missionary. I also participate in visiting teaching. I spend a lot of time in, at, or with people in my young single adult ward. I enjoy serving all of those around me and I love to be a light and an example to them. I love being able to be there for others whether in good times or bad. I also like to serve in my community by visiting an old folks home down the road from my house. I love attending the temple and spending time at institute.
