Hi I'm Darrel Behunin

I live in Idaho and love the family values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired High School Counselor and have worked with youth for over 40 years and see great potential in them. I enjoy living in Idaho where I can be in the great outdoors in a matter of minutes. I enjoy fishing and hunting and have grown up with a great respect for God's creations. I am the lucky husband of my sweet wife of 47 years. She is the best thing in my life and we look forward to a long life together and are trying to live so we can be together forever. I know the Lords plan will provide this for us as we follow His plan of happiness in this life, and prove faithful to the covenants He provides for us in His Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied the doctrine and read the books and then prayed about them to God. He has answered my prayers through the Holy Ghost and has spoken peace to my heart. I have gained and received through the spirit, my own conversion to this gospel. I have seen the fruits of the Mormon religion hundreds of times in others lives as well. Knowing there is a Prophet on the earth that God speaks to today is one of the greatest messages the world can hear. I study the scriptures every day and I feel the Lords spirit with me as I do so. The Holy Ghost, as was given to the apostles and followers of Jesus Christ in his day, is just as real today. He speaks to our hearts and will help us in many ways as we follow Jesus Christ. I am so grateful that the Lord Jesus Christ restored his true church back to the earth again. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,(the Mormons) has all the Priesthood authority, covenants and ordinances necessary for the salvation of man today. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being of service to others and live in a community that is very helpful to each other. If a widow or someone needs wood for the winter, there are a many men who help gather and split the wood for her to use. If someone needs a helping hand in almost anything, there are many who stand willing and able to help at a moments notice. I have served as a leader in both the youth and the adult programs of the Church. The experiences I have had are most precious to me and will be remembered for a lifetime. We truly do get a feeling of being a family unit of people in our area. I have a number of people I feel I can call if I need help on anything. Great feeling to live in such a neighborhood.
