Hi I'm Sydney

I'm from Eastern Washinton. I want to be a nurse. I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I go to college and am working on getting into nursing school. I love spending time with my family (I'm the eldest of 4), being outside, hiking, playing games, or just sitting and being with them. I enjoy reading and knitting, and have recently found myself addicted to family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. I went to church every week with my family, said prayers over meals, and read scriptures with my parents every night. As I've gotten older I've realized that it has become not just something I do because my parents tell me to, or because that's what everyone expects of me. I am a Mormon because I believe it is true. I have felt peace and found joy by following the gospel.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith doesn't just mean attending church on Sunday. It's about becoming the best person I can be, someone like our Savior, Jesus Christ. It's in the little things, like treating someone with kindness even if they don't do the same, or dropping a meal by for someone having a hard time. It's serving how you can, in whatever situation you are in. I've recently been called to serve a full-time mission in Atlanta Georgia, where I will have the opportunity to serve others and teach the gospel for 18 months. I can't be more excited!
