Hi I'm Ty

I grew up in Texas. I'm adopted. I graduated from high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was adopted at the age of four. I was an active participant in high school sports, mainly basketball and track. My senior year My team won the district championship and also went to the second round of playoffs, and I went to regionals in the 400 meter and long jump. I was an active member in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle. I endured many long years full of homework and studying before graduating high school. I am putting school on hold to serve a 2 year mission.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel brings joy into my life. I feel God's love for me when I pray, and hear his words when I read the scriptures. It makes me happy to know that families can be together forever. I am comforted to know that when I make mistakes and go through trials I can rely on the atonement. I have certainty because I know that God has a plan for me. The gospel gives me the opportunity to make myself better each day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving. I try to love everyone and to see them the way christ does, and as I do there are opportunities placed in my way. From assisting with hurricane cleanup to teaching lessons in church I am able to show christlike love to the people around me. Almost every sunday after church, my father and I visited with the homebound members in our area. I personally live my faith by trying to be better each day.
