Hi I'm Rachelle

I grew up in the Ogden, Utah area and I'm about to begin my full-time church missionary service in Mesa, Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old college student sudying at BYU. Currently I am taking a break from school as I am about to begin my service as a full-time missionary for my church in Mesa, Arizona which is a very exciting opportunity to share my faith! Growing up in the beautiful state of Utah I have learned to enjoy the beautiful mountains we are surrounded by and love hiking and camping. Other things I enjoy include reading, cooking, and staying active through activities like tennis and many other forms of exercise.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a part of the true Church of Jesus Christ has brought me light, peace, hope, and joy into my life that transcends even the hardest times in life. It has given me the hope to know that as I live faithfully I can be like my savior Jesus Christ and live with him again some day! It has given me the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father who knows and loves us as individuals and has a plan for us as his children. I am a daughter of God! And it has helped me understand that as we live the gospel we can have true and lasting happiness in our lives, especially the happiness that comes from the knowledge that families can be together forever!

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by standing as a witness of my loving Heavenly Father everywhere I go. To me part of doing this is living for service opportunities within my church and in everyday life. The Book of Mormon teaches us that "...when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of God" (Mosiah 2:17) so serving and loving others is one of the best ways we can show God our love for him. My favorite service opportunity was serving on a humanitarian trip in Mexico where I got to help build an addition to a school and interact with the other youth my age there. That experience led me to the decision to serve a full time mission for my church. I am very excited for my next opportunity to live my faith as a full time missionary in Mesa, Arizona for the next 18 months.
