Hi I'm Taiylor

I grew up in Kennewick, Washington but I am currently serving a mission in Omaha, Nebraska. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I am the oldest of 5. I grew up involved in sports all year round and focused on competitive swimming most of my life. In my last two years of high school I went to college and was able to graduate high school with an AA degree in social arts & science. However I hope to continue my education and someday become a marriage and family counselor. I love being around people and making new friends as well as always having a good time wherever I'm at. I believe that everybody has importance & worth, and that we should all be kind to one another. And also that family is one of the most important gifts given to us. Service also happens to be one of my favorite things to do, especially when it comes to serving the Lord, which is why I decided to serve an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that this is Christ's true Gospel. And there is no one I want to be more like than our Savior, Jesus Christ. This gospel is full of peace, love, charity, faith, knowledge, service, and hope. All attributes of Christ and all attributes that we should be working towards. This Gospel helps bring others unto our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ and can help strengthen our relationships with them through our faith and willingness to obey all commandments and council given to us. There is so much room for growth, opportunity, and blessings if we allow ourselves to commit our lives to the Savior, and this gospel teaches that. We are a community, all children of God, all working towards the goal of living with our Heavenly Father again and He has given us set standards to help (word of wisdom, ten commandments, etc.). I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, a man called of God, who did translate the Book of Mormon and I know that Book to be true. It is also a guide for us in these latter days and another testament of Jesus Christ and His teachings. And I know that Heavenly Father has prophets on this earth today to help us as well. Heavenly Father loves us, He wants us to be happy, He wants us to succeed, and he wants us to Come unto to Him and through this Gospel and the ordinances and covenants included, I have learned that and I have felt His love. I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ is real and that he loves us SO much, he is willing to help us in any way we are ready to let Him. I have a firm belief in the Plan of Happiness and know that where I was before this life and where I'm going after can be answered through the Plan of Salvation and I know that it is true. The people may not be perfect but the Church is perfect and filled with blessings for those willing to follow Jesus Christ. I know this to all be true. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I grew up very involved in various leadership activities/groups in and out of church settings. I was always involved in class presidencies at school and I was able to be a captain in the sport groups I participated in all through high school. But I was also involved in many leadership opportunity's in church groups and activities which was part of what led me to serve an 18 month mission. I was teaching lessons from age 12 to youth my age in various Sunday school classes. I've been a ward missionary and I've taught lessons in organizations of men and woman ages 18 and up. All roles of which have helped prepare me for my current life.
