Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I grew up in Arizona. I love sports and being in the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports, playing them, watching them, pretty much anything that has to do with them! Throughout all of my high school years I played sports year round, Track and Field, Cross country, Volleyball and Basketball. This was my life. I also grew up around horses. I loved to go out with my family and friends and just ride. I competed in rodeos for a couple years, then my life became overcome with sports. I come from a really big family so my life was always exciting and there was never a dull moment. I grew up in school being one of the only Mormons in my class, sometimes this was difficult but I always tried to surround myself with good friends and that definitely helped.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was little, I have always loved the feeling I receive when I read my scriptures, listen to people talk about the gospel, and even just going to church. There is a feeling of peace and tranquility that I haven't been able to feel anywhere else. At times the rules and commandments laid out by the Lord can seem constricting, but once followed you see the immense happiness that it brings to your life. This gospel means so much to me, its where I know without a doubt that I can turn to in times of need, or stress, and even just when I am feeling down. Without this gospel I know that my life would be different. I know without a doubt that this church is true and that we have living prophets on this earth today who are there to lead and guide us. I know that if we follow the commandments we will be happy and have a peace in our life that can not be felt anywhere else. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it is in coordination with the Bible and that we need both in our lives.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Mormon church. Every Sunday I would go to church, we would come home and just use the rest of the day to bond as a family. At least once a week on a weekday I would get together with other youth in my church and we would do small little activities, building friendships and our faith together. I am getting ready to serve a mission for my church, I will be gone for a duration of 18 months spreading the gospel to anyone and everyone who is open to listen. These 18 months will also include lots of hours of service, helping members and nonmembers alike.
