Hi I'm Hailey

I'm from a little town called Ririe (pronounced "Rye-ree" ;)) I love my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but I've been raised as an Idaho farm girl. My family runs a produce business. Pretty much anything you can think would grow in your typical garden, we grow on a MUCH larger scale so that we can sell our produce at local farmer's markets. After graduating from high school, I decided to study English, and I recently completed my first year in July 2017. I chose English as my major because of how much I love to read. If I had all the time in the world, I would happily sit and read books all day. I also love to play piano. I wouldn't say that I'm amazing at it, but it's something that relaxes me when I need a moment to chill. I've accepted a Mormon mission call to serve in the Virginia Richmond Mission as a Spanish speaking missionary! I'm super excited to start serving in a couple of weeks. :) And that's a little bit about me. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Mormon church my entire life. I wouldn't trade that for anything else in the entire world. No amount of money, mean words, or hardship could convince me to leave what I know has blessed my life and will continue to bless my life in countless ways. I continue to be a member of this church because of my love for my Savior. I love Him because He first loved me. He loved me so much that He suffered, died, and now lives again for not only the mistakes I have made and will make in my life, but also for each day I have ever felt alone or sad. I am still a member of this church because of what it teaches about families being together forever. I love my family, and "till death do you part" wouldn't ever cut it for me. I am so happy that death is not the end. I am a Mormon because of how close I feel to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when I am in the temple or praying. The Spirit that is there is so strong. Because of what I feel in the temple and when I pray, I know that there is no way this church isn't true. My name is Hailey, and I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, and I love it. :)

How I live my faith

I teach a class of children ages 8-9 each Sunday. When all of them are at church, there are twelve of them! But even when there's only six or seven of them, they're so rambunctious and fun that it still feels like there's twelve. I'm currently teaching them about the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, AKA the Mormon church. They've learned all about who Joseph Smith the Prophet was, what it was like to be a member of the church in Joseph Smith's time, and they are soon going to learn about the Mormon Pioneer's trek to the Salt Lake Valley to escape the persecution of mobs who threatened to kill all of them. I love that I have the chance every Sunday to share what I know to be true with these beautiful children. Sometimes it's hard to get them to sit still long enough for me to say two words, but I know that teaching them is worth every effort I put into it.
