Hi I'm Aydan Ray Wharton

I grew up in Utah. I love my family and serving others. I Hope to live the life Christ would have me live. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Growing up, I worked extra hard in school. It didn't come easy to me so I had to spend lots of extra time on my studies. I graduated high school. Extra curricular things I enjoyed in school included choir, drama, making jewelry, welding, ballroom dance team, journalism, financial literacy and learning and playing instruments. I enjoy playing the guitar and singing. I also enjoy playing the piano (by ear) and the Ukelele. I enjoy swimming and competed on a swim team for several years. I certified as a lifeguard. I have been born to a home with the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This has blessed my life so greatly and I am excited to share this knowledge with others. I am currently taking missionary prep classes and gospel classes at the college institute and will be leaving my family, to serve a two year mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in mid November 2017, in hopes to share the knowledge and joy that the gospel brings with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where the knowledge of the gospel was shared and studied daily. We read scriptures each morning as a family. I love the peace and light that the knowledge of the gospel and the spirit brings to my life. The knowledge of the gospel helps me to live a good and clean life. It helps me to know important things like why we are here, where we lived before earth, what happens after we die and the wonderful knowledge that we can be a forever family, even after this earthly life. I love the knowledge that God hears and answers our prayers. I enjoy feeling His love as I kneel in humble prayer and share the thoughts of my heart with my loving Father in Heaven. I know He loves all of His children. That is also a reason why I love working in the Temple. I feel Gods love for His children and His love for me as I serve there. Working in the temple has allowed me to see the love and light of Christ in others. It has shown me that no greater happiness, joy and truth can be found except in this, the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have served in many positions in my church including home teacher and secretary of my youth group where I helped to plan and organize activities for my peers, took roll and attended meetings to help plan and care for the needs of my peers in the church. I fulfilled priesthood duties, such as visiting the homes of the elderly or sick, who can not attend church because of their condition, and bringing them the sacrament, to their homes so they can enjoy a portion of the church service. For a couple of months, before I leave on my mission, I am serving as a volunteer worker in the temple and enjoy helping others there and feeling the love of my Savior as I serve in that wonderful and sacred place.
