Hi I'm Jake

Born and raised in the USA. About to serve a 2 year mission. I'm a lifelong Mormon.

About Me

I am an aspiring engineer. I love to hang out in the outdoors going hiking/backpacking, gun shooting, hunting, wilderness survival trips, ATV riding or 4x4 rock crawling, etc. When I'm not out in nature I enjoy building and tinkering creating new things just for the fun of it. I also am a bit of a gamer mostly playing games with a story mode or puzzle maps or whatever is the most fun with friends (I wish split-screen was more common). Besides all that I also enjoy to cook and bake all sorts of food. So I guess you could say I'm quite the well-round guy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon partially because I was born into it. My Parents have been members all their life and so I am too. I chose to get baptized and continue in my own conversion to be a true follower of Christ. I am about to serve a 2 year mission of my own free will. Choosing to stay a member has been such a huge blessing in my life and when you just take a moment to see God's hand in your life you could see it too.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend Church. Occasionally I will have to teach a class or two or give what we call a 'talk'. (Its just a short 15min speech on a gospel topic in front of the whole ward) Sometimes I will participate in youth night activities where all the young men and women gather and play a game, do service, or whatever is planned for the night.
