Hi I'm Stephen Olson

Hello I am a member of the lds church and have been since I was 8 years old, I will be serving in the Rosario, Argentina mission!

About Me

I have recently graduated high school and have completed my freshman year of college. I love to do anything involving the outdoors, love to go boating and camping with my friends and family and am a big time skier so living in utah is perfect for me. I am an eagle scout recipient. I worked for a pharmaceutical company before leaving on my mission. I have a mother and father and 3 sisters and one brother, my brother served a mission as well as my dad.

Why I am a Mormon

For a long time I thought that I was a mormon because it's what my parents and family believed as well as what my neighbors and friends believed, until I came to the realization that I am a member today because I want to be. the only way we can return back to our savior is through becoming a faithful member and that we through righteousness will be able to see our loved ones and our father in heaven again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily scripture study as well as morning prayer and prayer throughout the day, and every chance I can I take the opportunity to go to the temple. I have friends as well as coworkers that aren't of our faith and many times I have shared with them the gospel and have talked with them, not afraid to stand up for my beliefs.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Stephen Olson
The atonement is what our brother and our lord and savior jesus christ did for us, he wept in the garden of gethsemane as well as died up on the cross so that we may be able to return back to our father in heaven. He made the ultimate sacrifice. In order for the atonement to take place jesus needed to die for our sins as well as for each and every struggle we may have, this was the only way for gods plan to continue on and for us through faith obedience, baptism, and through making covenants with him that we could return.
