Hi I'm Erik

I'm a college student, a sports geek, and a missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I recently attended my first semester of college before leaving to serve a mission for the LDS church in the Republic of Congo Brazzaville mission. I grew up a member of the Church living in the United States. I am a huge fan of basketball and football, and I will play just about any sport. I also love spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members, so I have grown up in the Church my whole life. When I reached High School, I started to have experiences that helped me to have a stronger testimony of my Savior and draw closer to Him. As I started to prepare for a mission, I wanted to make sure I had a testimony. As I prayed and studied the scriptures daily, I felt the Spirit more in my life. I was able to receive answers to my prayers. As I continued to do the little things, I got a peaceful, happy feeling, and I knew that it was the Spirit telling me that I did have a testimony of this gospel. I truly came to know that this is the true Church on the earth. I am so thankful to know that God is our loving Heavenly Father, that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that we can always have His Spirit to guide us.

How I live my faith

I try to do the little things every day that help me draw closer to Jesus Christ, such as praying and studying the scriptures. I try to follow His example by humbly giving service to others. Right now, I am helping to share this gospel and my testimony with others and give service as a missionary.
