Hi I'm Jarrah Isom

I am a 19 year-old college student. I am a lover of all sports & anything related to the outdoors, food, or movies. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in the beautiful state of Utah in the USA all of my life! I am the oldest of three children and have two younger brothers. I have quite a large range of hobbies, from singing and dancing to soccer and weightlifting. Quoting and watching movies is also my jam. I am quite the adrenaline junky and love making memories with those I love.By December of 2017, I will graduate with my Associate's Degree in General Studies. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in January of 2018 in Kobe, Japan! I cannot wait to share the gospel with the people of Japan!

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the gospel as a source of guidance, peace, and happiness all of my life. My mother was a convert to the church and is the only member in her family. My father was a member his whole life and helped convert my mother. Growing up, my parents centered our lives around the gospel and taught my brothers and I the principles and doctrines that the gospel of Jesus Christ is based upon. Although having this comforting knowledge didn't make life "easy", it did bring a great deal of peace and comfort through the tough times I faced. It gave me eternal perspective and the strength to keep pushing and trying my best in everything I did- especially when I failed or when nothing in life seemed to go right. I am beyond grateful to know of this true and everlasting gospel and am immensely grateful I have known it all of my life. Living this gospel has helped me to grow and progress in ways I could never imagine. It has given me opportunities to serve and love others and share this peace and happiness with all of those around me. I KNOW that this church is true. I am forever grateful for my Savior and His sacrifice to bring is all back to our home in heaven. I am so excited to soon bring my love and testimony to the people of Japan and share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has made ALL of the difference in my life, and I know with all of my heart that it will do the same to theirs.

How I live my faith

I am currently an active member in a Young Single Adult ward in Saint George, Utah. I go to the meetings held on Sunday and the events and activities during the week, such as Family Home Evening, when we get together as members of the church and enjoy spending time getting to know each other better and strengthen our knowledge and love for the gospel. I strive every day to be a worthy member of the church and to be an example to those around me of Christlike love and what being a Latter Day Saint is all about. I am constantly on the lookout for service opportunities and ways I can help lighten the burdens of others. I am also preparing to serve an LDS mission, so I am doing all I can to widen my knowledge of and love for this gospel.
