Hi I'm Shantel

I grew up in Cedar City Utah, I love the outdoors and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors hiking and playing sports, I like playing and listening to music, I play the Clarinet and a little bit of the guitar. For my profession right now I am working as a Certified Nurse Assistant I really enjoy helping people and making new friends. I am attending SUU, My major is Nursing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised Mormon which I am so grateful for, because this gospel has taught me so much in my life and it has really blessed it. whenever something goes wrong in my life and I either feel alone or hopeless I know that Heavenly Father is there for me and will help me through it if I have faith. I know that Heavenly father is real and he knows every single one of us by our names and knows all of our problems, we are so special to him and he just wants the best for us and to make us happy. I know that his son Jesus Christ died for us to take upon himself the sins and pain/afflictions of all of us so that we could be forgiven and so that we could be perfected through him to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet that was called from God that restored this gospel so we could have it in this dispensation. he has brought forth the truthfulness of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I know that we can live for eternity and be with our families forever with the sealing ordinances that Heavenly Father has provided for us.This gospel brings so much joy to my life and I know it can bring joy to anyone, I am very grateful I was born into this Church because I would be so lost without it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I am part of the LDS religion, I have had calling in the young women group as a 2nd counselor and a president.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Shantel
The atonement is when Jesus Christ died for us, he took upon himself all of our sins, pains and afflictions. He did this so that we wouldn't have to be alone through this journey here on earth. He bled from every pore, this and the sins he took upon himself gave him so much agony. He loved our Heavenly Father very much and kept his commandments, he also loved us so he gave his life so that we would have a chance to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. Through Jesus Christ we can be perfected to enter Gods kingdom. He knows the way and knows everything we are experiencing here on earth. If we have faith, get baptized, follow the commandments, receive our scared ordinances here on earth we will be able to become like Christ. Show more Show less
