Hi I'm Emily

I was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho. I love to explore all that this beautiful state has to offer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Emily. I love everything outdoors! Fishing, hunting, white water rafting, four wheeling, and riding our dirt bikes are just a few of my favorite things to do. I have been called to labor and serve in the Brazil Belo Horizonte Mission, and report to the Brazil MTC on January 23, 2018. I couldn't be more excited to serve the Lord, and his children!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but have in different ways been blessed because of my decision to live the teachings of the gospel. Skating through this life without trials is just impossible. The gospel of Jesus Christ can help guide us through those difficult times, and a testimony of Him can influence us to make better choices. Some may ask, "why would you ever pass up an alcoholic beverage, or a smoke?" I've learned about the importance of my body, that it is a temple, and because of the Word of Wisdom I have learned to take care of this body that has been given me. This, and many other Modern Day Revelations, have been given to us to protect us throughout our life here on earth. The main reason as to why I am a Mormon is because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. The more I learn about Him, the more I strive to be able to live with Him and our Father for eternity. In Alma 34:32 we read: "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God;" And this is my purpose, the reason for my existence. I know that I couldn't be as happy as I am now without the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I just graduated High School this spring, and have enjoyed spending my time in the Singles Ward, which is a meeting where adults age 18-30 meet together every Sunday for Sacrament Meeting, and classes. We also meet throughout the week and enjoy being together in a setting that allows us to feel the Holy Ghost. I also work with the Beehives (girls age 12-14) in my family ward. As the Beehive adviser, I get to teach Sunday Young Women lessons as well as attend mutual activities each Wednesday where we meet and do things that help us feel closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
