Hi I'm Chelle Joy

I'm Asian living in Canada. I'm a Mormon

About Me

About me? This is kinda hard (haha) I am a professional trying hard singer, so yeah, I sing whenever I feel to do it. I also love having smart conversations and good discussions. Not good with letters so I will end it here.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 10, my dad told me to get baptized, and so I did. I go to the church but really do not have a testimony. As a student in the primary, I was taught that this is the true church so and so, it was all knowledge and not a testimony. My parents were both working abroad so I grew up with my grandparents which are non-members. Religion was not practiced. Couple months later, I left the church. My dad would always force me to go back to church but it was really hard for him since he was a far. I attended different churches because I tried searching for the truth, not knowing that I found it but I had turned my back on it. I was lost, so lost that I made lots of mistakes. 7 years later, I found my way back to church. One night, as I was pondering about my life, I felt miserable and alone. The story of Joseph Smith came into my mind, and suddenly I feel like I want to pray. I prayed for the truth, unlike Joseph Smith, I did not see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ but I felt their presence. I feel like I am dreaming but I know I am awake (maybe a vision??) I saw myself reading the Book of Mormon and saw how my life became better by applying all those I had learned from it. From that time, those knowledge planted in me became a strong testimony. I went back to church and did my best to become what the Lord wants me to be. In less than a year of being active, we all got the great news that I am able to go and be with my parents. It was our answered prayer in God's perfect timing. We just got sealed in the temple and our family is strong and united with love because of the gospel.

How I live my faith

Serving others has been my lifelong commitment. In any circumstances, I always try to help others in ways that I can. Volunteering in some organizations where the vision is helping the community is what I always do. Church has also given me lots of opportunities to serve and share my talents by teaching the youth especially young women to enhance their skills for the future. I had been able to work in the temple, serving others inside the house of the Lord is such a wonderful blessing and experience. Missionary work is so close to my heart. it is always what I want to do. I just love how the missionaries always look for service opportunities and help others find their way back home.
