Hi I'm John stander merizier

I'm a Mormon, and I have been call to labor in the morristown new jersey mission. and i will leave to Provo MTC January 3rd, 2018

About Me

I am 19 years old , I play soccer, I run track and I love to go to church .

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe this church is the true church of the the lord Jesus Christ . the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and that the book of Mormon is the word of god and that we have a true living prophet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I right like obeying the rules of the gospel and the 10 amendments. I also make sure that I do my daily doing like praying often, read my scriptures daily.

What is faith?

Faith is believing on something you can't see.To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma compared faith to a seed. If you plant a seed and nourish it, if it is a good seed it will grow and eventually bear fruit (Alma 32:28-43). It is the same with faith. If you are obedient to God’s commandments, study His word, and have a desire to believe in Christ, faith will grow inside of you.Anytime we demonstrate faith, we’re relying on something. When you sit in a chair, you’re relying on the chair’s manufacturer to produce something that will hold you up. When you’re on the freeway, you’re relying on every other driver around you. Faith in God means we rely on him and depend on his reliability. Having faith means realizing that God is bigger, greater, and better than me – and he loves me greatly. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death” (NLT). That's the problem with relying on yourself. We’re often wrong. Human intuition is not always reliable. In fact, it’s just good enough to make us think we’re right . Show more Show less
