Hi I'm Sharon

I am a tailor, a farmer, a potter,a baker, a great grandma, a wife and a fourth generation Mormon of Dutch decent!

About Me

My early years were in Michigan, but my college years took me to Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. Graduating in the school of Merchandising I learned many skills that allowed me to start my own business of alterations for seniors. After my second marriage, which moved me to Ohio, I became a farmer of chickens with horses as a hobby. We love carriage rides and sharing the love of the 1800's with others. People around our town have asked us why we drive buggies , but after standing there petting our horses, while I shop, they have come to appreciate the more simple life of the 1800's and many have expressed the desire to experience it for them selves.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the feelings of the Holy Ghost prompting me in my life. I know that because of having received the gift of the Holy Ghost, during my confirmation, after being baptized, I can have the guidance of the Holy Ghost through out my entire life, as long as I live worthy of receiving it's promptings.

How I live my faith

Life is filled with opportunities to serve others, both family, friends and neighbors. Jesus has said when ye are in the service of your fellow man ye are only in the service of your God. Mosiah 2:17 My service to the seniors for many years as a tailor and now my service as a farmer, providing eggs to the community, has been very rewarding personally. Bringing joy to others and being an example of giving Christlike service has filled me with many hours of joy and happiness, knowing that I have helped others feel their personal best with my skills and providing home grown, free range, organic eggs at a great price, so others can afford the benefits of the farm

What is the priesthood?

Sharon
Having the priesthood in our home has given us the tools to use on earth that the Father in Heaven has provided to help us return to live with him again some day. Would you refuse a Christmas or Birthday gift? If we being good parents know how to give good gifts to our children than why would our Father in Heaven not give us gifts from Heaven that are for our betterment and help while here on earth? How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Sharon
My faith in Jesus can help strengthen my family and help us to withstand the trials of life. Satan is trying to destroy the bonds of the family, but Jesus can provide the path, the truth and the light to guide families through the clouds of darkness that veil the earth in these days. Family time, dinner together, activities together and children one on one with their parents, church together on Sundays, having family discussions together with snacks and games called Family Home Evening are just some of the tools given us by the Lord to help strengthen and guide families back to heaven where we are one BIG eternal family of our Father in Heaven.
