Hi I'm Josi Sagers

I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I'm a published illustrator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I've always had a crayon or pencil in my hand. Drawing came naturally to me as a child and as I grew I continued to work at my talents and eventually I was offered the opportunity to illustrate a children's book. At the time that I was illustrating, I was also taking animation classes. I've always been fascinated with animated features, primarily Disney, and have had the desire to work in their animation department for many years. While I'm still making my way through college and haven't quite made my way to work for The Mouse, I'm continuing to draw, study, and do everything that I can to make my dreams come true!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my family is the most important thing in my life. If it wasn't for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I would not have the knowledge that families can truly be together forever. I'm the oldest of five daughters and knowing that no matter what happens in this life to me or any of my sisters we will always be together is so sweet and so comforting. Like everyone, I've experienced tragedy in my life and it has always been through the gospel that I have found healing and strength to overcome my adversities. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. It gives me purpose and it gives me hope.

How I live my faith

I'm currently preparing to serve a full-time mission for the church in Las Vegas, Nevada. I've had the aspiration of serving a mission since I was a young child and I am excited to serve The Lord and His children. Prior to my mission, I taught for the Primary, or the younger children of the congregation the foundations of the gospel. The age group that I taught was 5-6-year-olds and while it was challenging at times, I loved hearing their testimonies of Christ and teaching them about the Book of Mormon and the Bible.
