Hi I'm N. Anthony Russo

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was born in Saint Louis, MO and raised in Southern California.

About Me

I am a husband and father of four children. My wife and I have thirteen grandchildren. I was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and raised in Southern California. I am a retired Sheriff's Deputy from California. I was forced to retire after I had two heart attacks. My wife and I moved to Utah just before the housing crash in 2006. We live in a little town about 60 to 70 miles south of Salt Lake City. Three of our four children live within 30 miles of us and we enjoy family dinners and family functions often. Our family is very close and we love our children and grandchildren very much, they bring us great joy and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I found it hard to believe the doctrine of the church I was raised in especially the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. When I saw the picture of Joseph Smith in The Sacred Grove with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as separate and individual beings I knew I was seeing and hearing the truth. I was seventeen and wanted to be baptized but my parents would not give consent. I had to wait two years before my parents would allow me to be baptized. I was baptized on October 09, 1971 and I have been an active member of the church since then. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints is the restoration of the church that Jesus Christ established when he was on the earth.

How I live my faith

I have had have many opportunities to serve in my church. My wife and I have recently been called to serve as full time missionaries in our area, we will serve for 24 months. I have been serving as the Sunday School President in our ward. I have also served as a priesthood leader in the past, I have been a counselor to my Bishop. I have been a youth leader and a teacher.
