Hi I'm Kassandra

I lived in several places and went through several trials, yet I remain positive and filled with joy. I am a proud Mormon.

About Me

I am an artist, author, dancer, singer, writer, musician, geek, nerd, and many other things. I love and enjoy life even though it can get rough and sometimes unbearable. I love to help and inspire others through my talents and optimistic personality. I plan to major in Animation and possibly many other things that can help me throughout my life. I love all types of people and find each one unique and different. Although I may be outgoing many times, I’m really a shy and bashful person that hides in a corner during parties. But if you take the chance to talk to me, I’ll take the chance as well. I want to spread Gods love in all different forms.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m not going to lie, I don’t have an epic conversion story. I was born and raised with this religion in my life. However, I did have many big things that had happened throughout that turned my basic knowledge of my religion into a strong and undying testimony of my faith in God and His Only Begotten Son. I was born with a learning disability, not able to speak until I was 4 years old. This disorder played a great deal of a trial all throughout my life. My mother didn’t believe I would have the capability to play the piano because it was so bad. So she didn’t bother with lessons. But I had a passion for music. Because of this, I taught myself piano, art, and many other things; and continue to do so this very day. Also because of my disorder, I didn’t realize how different I was from others until Jr. High, where my cousin made a certain remark that made my heart twist and see things differently. I finally had a goal. To be normal. Right around the time I started talking, my mother’s husband got into pornography and used my family and friends as a source of it. He was sent to jail and we moved. This also played a great deal in my life, because it caused my siblings and I to grow up practically without parents. My mother had to work all the time so she could raise 6 children on her own, as the husband was in jail, cheating on her with another man. In high school I finally got out of special ed classes and achieved my goal to be normal. At least to seem normal to the point that no one noticed. The husband finally got out of jail and came back to us around my 16th birthday. But not much longer, he was caught doing pornography and sent to jail once again. It always hurt me when people mentioned fathers when I had none. It broke my heart. But within a year they were finally divorced and we got a few new members in our family. I finally had a dad. And siblings! Trials didn’t end, but my testimony grew a great deal. I know God loves me, and I know families can be eternal.

How I live my faith

I am a chorister in my ward. I have a huge passion for music and had been called to do this. I do my best to visit others in the church as much as possible and build stronger relationships.
