Hi I'm Katrina

I am a mormon living in Boise Idaho with my Husband and family

About Me

I am a mother of 5 amazing adult children now and a grandmother to 6 beautiful children! I am a finishing my degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho that I started over 35 years ago. I wanted to finish what I started all those years ago and here I am graduating in December! I have been substitute teaching at our nearby high school for 13 years. I really like working with that age group. It's a hard time of life and sometimes you just need someone who will listen to you. I grew up in the church but my mother & step-father were "Sunday Mormons." They pretended that all was fine and good when we went to church on Sundays but when we got home, the inside of our house, it was not so good. It was filled will all kinds of abuse & dysfunction.

Why I am a Mormon

Luckily I had the most amazing grandparents that saved my life. They let me come live with them when I was 17. And they supported me in my decision to go to Ricks college when my mother was insisting that I stay at home. And that was where I met my husband to be. She still tried to marry me off to a hometown boy, while my guy was away on his mission but thankfully that didn't happen. We were married in the Mesa Temple by my beloved grandfather a few months after he returned home. It was a testament to me to listen to the still small voice even when you have a loud strong voice telling you something different.

How I live my faith

I am active in my ward and try to live the gospel and set an example to those around me. We have raised 5 children and 3 of them have been married in the Temple and are raising families of their own. Our other two are living the gospel and plan to also marry in the Temple when the time comes.
