Hi I'm Bailee

I grew up in Washington. I attend BYU Idaho and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a currently attending BYU Idaho in an effort to eventually go to dental school. I enjoy playing the piano, violin, woodworking, drawing, and ceramics. My favorite animals are dogs, of which I have two, and I have a love for learning languages.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in a Mormon family, we were only active in the church when I was young. The only times I ever attended church was on special occasions, or when I was visiting my grandparents. Despite my limited experience with the church, when ever I went my mood would improve, I was happier, and I felt at peace. Because of these experiences I decided to ask my parents permission to take the missionary discussions before being baptized at the age of twelve. Despite already being baptized my conversion to the gospel still continues today. While I was in high school I was having a very hard time with self confidence and deciding what I wanted to do with my life so decided to re-read The Book of Mormon all the way through. Every night before I went to bed I would try to read at least a chapter. I immediately noticed that my attitude was better, I wasn't stressed out, I was nicer to my family, my grades were doing better, and I was motivated to succeed. In addition to these changes, one huge conversion factor for me was that I noticed that the lessons and principals I read about in The Book of Mormon every night would apply to an experience I had the next day. I was amazed at how frequently the truths in The Book of Mormon were solidified by my personal experiences, and this continues to be the case for me now. These repeated affirmations have steadily built my faith over many years of prayer and study. I have a testimony that this gospel is Christ's church, that The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that this gospel can bring joy beyond measure.

How I live my faith

As I mentioned before, I am currently attending BYU Idaho, however I am putting college on hold in order to serve a mission for the LDS church. This mission will require 18 months of serving the Lord by serving my fellow man and teaching the gospel. I am looking forward to the opportunity to share the gospel with others because it has brought me so much happiness.
