Hi I'm Randy

I was born and raised in the Church and been active all of my life. I am anxious to serve the Lord in any way I can. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been very involved with the scouting program as Advancement Chairman (25+ years) and Committee Chair (1 year). I belonged to the Rotary Club for 30 years, serving as club president one year. I spent over 40 years in the mortgage lending area and enjoyed it immensely. I love my family, having 2 sons and six grandchildren. I enjoy watching them in all of their activities.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the Church, I was taught the gospel. I didn't gain my own testimony until I was in college. Having gained a testimony, I wanted to serve a mission to give back to my Heavenly Father for all of the blessings he has given me. I've studied the scriptures and prayed for guidance. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, my brother and the Savior of the world. It is by and through Him that I can one day return to my Father in Heaven and hopefully be with my wife, children and loved ones for eternity.

How I live my faith

I actively participate with the young men of our ward and get a kick seeing them succeed in their endeavors. I previously served a full time mission for the Church in the Washington DC area from 1969-1971. I plan to serve a senior mission with my wife in Texas and hopefully serve again in the future. I love the Lord and study His gospel in hopes of being a better person.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Randy
I've learned that the Atonement isn't just the Savior paying for our sins, but also showing us the way we can be eternally happy. Show more Show less
